Patrol Rifle

The Department’s Patrol Rifle Program was developed as a quick response to armed subjects that reach beyond the capabilities of a department issued handgun. Patrol rifle members can be utilized for potential active shooter situations and can act as a supplement to ESU in order provide containment perimeters. Currently there are 29 members on the rifle team whom work in the Patrol Division. The rifle program participants are strategically placed, throughout all the shifts, in order to provide the capability to quickly respond twenty-four hours a day.
