Court Operations is responsible for staffing our Municipal Court with police officers who provide security for our courts. Police officers provide security for Traffic and Criminal court, as well as the Violations Bureau. The officers assigned to court operations act as a liaison between our court system and our police department, ensuring administrative paperwork is properly submitted to the court. This is essential when officers are subpoenaed and need to be present during a trial date. The court officers also are responsible for ensuring that defendants held in our Temporary Detention Facility are escorted to any required Municipal Court appearances.
