Police Department Tours, Speakers, & Demonstrations
Visiting our Facilities
The Elizabeth Police Department welcomes community groups to take a guided tour of our facility at 1 Police Plaza. This invitation is open to youth groups and adult groups alike. Tours are usually provided during business hours, but we will try to accommodate after hours requests.
What to Expect
Each tour is conducted by police personnel and includes the following when possible:
Roll Call Room
Prisoner Holding Cell Area
Office of Emergency Management
Special Response Team vehicles
Viewing and explanation of historical memorabilia
An average tour is approximately 45 – 60 minutes. The size of the group and the ages of the children are factors that will be taken into consideration. Please keep in mind that all tours are subject to last minute cancellations and certain areas of the department may not be available at the time of the visit.
Photographs or videos may be taken in designated areas but restricted in others for security and privacy.
Speakers are available for classroom discussions and/or club presentations or demonstrations. Possible topics of interest may include:
